Introduction
About this programme
Technology is rapidly changing the way we live and work. In what is being referred to as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the World Economic Forum predicts that there will be at least 150 million new computing/ technology jobs in the next five years. Moreover, business and technology-related jobs will boom over the next decade becoming amongst the highest-paid and fastest-growing jobs in the new economy.
Companies like Microsoft, Google, Apple and Amazon did not become global successes by chance; they were supported by individuals who not only had computational technical skills but also knew how to build thriving new businesses.
In addition to equipping students with the skills to design, develop and deploy real-world software, the programme will provide students with business and entrepreneurial knowledge, as well as provide the opportunity to obtain industry certifications for a number of computing modules.
What is a BSc in Computing and Entrepreneurship?
The BSc in Computing & Entrepreneurship is a practically orientated programme, designed to provide students with both the technical skills and business skills to commercialise a computational product or service, and grow the associated business. Such skills will provide students with the abilities to create and grow their own business, or to contribute to growing an established modern digital or computing orientated firm.
