Introduction
Improve Health and Prevent Disease Across Communities
Prepare for a career in which you help decrease the incidence of disease, increase life expectancy, and improve the health of individuals and communities around the world.
The undergraduate public health program at UAlbany is interdisciplinary by design and accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health.
As you gain knowledge of the sciences, sociology, psychology, economics, and politics of public health problems, you learn different approaches to increasing the wellness of diverse populations.
Courses are taught by public health researchers and practitioners, some of whom hold appointments with the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), so your program is practical, up-to-date, and taught by passionate public health experts.
