Introduction
The degree program provides students with a variety of innovative courses by applying creative cultural methods of teaching while examining the African American experience.
In order to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies, students must complete 30 credit hours of AFA core and elective courses and fulfill all of the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
