Become a fashion brand storyteller
The BA Hons Fashion Promotion degree can be tailored to your interests. You will explore fashion media production, fashion marketing and visual communication, including digital imaging and new media. You will learn the skills and techniques needed to effectively communicate and market fashion brands in this dynamic, fast-moving and exciting sector.
Our Fashion Promotion course includes a work-based learning opportunity where you can showcase your learning in a professional environment. Supported by the Ravensbourne Employability Team, recent work-based learning opportunities have included industry giants Urban Outfitters, Jimmy Choo, Stella McCartney, Vogue, Wonderland Magazine, Ralph Lauren, Ralph & Russo, Paul Smith, LK Bennett, Karen Millen, Harvey Nichols, Fashion Scout, Exposure, PR, All Saints and Black Diamond Films.
Delivered through a combination of practice and theory-based learning, you will develop your own unique voice across a number of channels, including film, magazines, fashion photography, website design, journalism, brand communication and social media. Competitions and live briefs will provide real work scenarios to help you develop and integrate your skillset, whilst building key industry contacts.

The flexible design of this fashion marketing course will enable you to tailor your studies to your individual passions. You will explore creative areas including

Year 1
Students will build knowledge and awareness of brand principles and the basics of how to bring together a fashion campaign.
Alongside this, they will learn key skills in photography, film, graphics, illustration and social media.
We encourage students to start thinking about their contextual studies research throughout this year.
Year 2
Students will gain a greater understanding of multi-platform campaign building.
At the same time, they will develop skills in building websites and writing market reports.
Our students go live at this stage, taking on a three-month industry internship.
Year 3
Students will be assessed on four components in their final year and we ask that they create a final major project from inception to realisation.
They will also work on a range of national and international competitions to showcase their skills and build a well-rounded professional portfolio.
We ask that they show their contextual studies research in a long-form dissertation.
