Discover your fashion design identity
This flagship fashion course in London, UK, offers budding fashion designers the opportunity to study both traditional and innovative practices in fashion design, development, pattern cutting, sampling and digital design. You will explore how computer-aided design and emerging digital technologies are helping to innovate the fashion creation process – from idea through to production.
You’ll develop an enviable skillset across the fashion design spectrum. This degree in fashion is geared towards developing fashion designers with industry-ready skills who have a firm grasp of research and concept development methodologies. You’ll add an academic backbone to your natural design flair, discover and develop your distinctive creative identity, and hone the techniques and knowledge you’ll need to stand out from the crowd.
You’ll have constant industry engagement, be involved in live project briefs, and receive help to secure a work-based learning opportunity for one term of the course. Students typically secure work-based learning opportunities in London, Antwerp, Paris, Milan and New York. They’ve been given a taste of life at some of the world’s most prestigious fashion brands, including Givenchy, Viktor & Rolf, AF Vandevorst, Haider Ackermann and Calvin Klein.

During the fashion design degree, you will also work on industry-led design briefs and competitions, including VF Corporation, which encompass Timberland, Wrangler, Lee and North Face and Kingpins denim.

Year 1
Students will build fundamental skills in textiles, digital design directives, and the most current industry software and technology.
There is an emphasis on understanding fashion with a focus on signature and direction.
We encourage students to start thinking about their contextual studies research throughout this year.
Year 2
Students will gain a greater understanding of creative collaboration and start to build a skills-based portfolio.
We support all our students to undertake a work placement in the final term. Students start to solidify ideas about their signature pieces and brand.
Year 3
Students will bring their learning together in a self-directed design project, ready for show or exhibition at the degree show.
We ask students to show their contextual studies research and thinking in a long-form dissertation.
Students will bring together their skills in an industry-ready portfolio whilst at the same time being encouraged to enter external competitions.
