Introduction
With the Bachelor in Information Systems, you will acquire exciting knowledge in the fields of business & information processing systems. Whether programming, hacking & IT security, or e-business - the Bachelor of Business Informatics at ISM combines the basics of business administration with current trends & challenges of business informatics.
Your studies will be strongly oriented toward the current industry change and challenges thanks to many practical, consulting projects, workshops and teaching from experienced lecturers from the business world. You will also gain first professional experience through integrated internships at home or abroad.
How is this program structured?
The program provides a business foundation with an individualized focus through exciting lectures in the areas of management fundamentals (business administration & economics), basic skills (rhetoric & project management), and industry-specific concentrations. Lectures in digital business, data science, and software engineering, for example, are offered.
Studying business informatics means not only acquiring business knowledge but also understanding structures and processes on an international level. In order to prepare you for an international career as a Business Informatics Specialist, the Business Informatics Bachelor Program includes:
- intensive language training with English as the lecture language as well as optional lectures in French or Spanish,
- an integrated semester abroad at one of around 190 partner universities abroad and
- an optional second semester abroad.

Program Tuition Fee
Scholarships and Funding
The ISM sponsors highly dedicated applicants and students from the first term. There is the possibility of a Full Scholarship as well as a Partial scholarship.
Full Scholarships
High-performing beginners receive a full scholarship including all tuition fees for the bachelor program (six terms) as well as the tuition fee for the completing bachelor thesis. The scholarship does not contain financial support regarding accommodation, living costs, learning material, etc. Only the tuition fees for international partner universities that can be covered by the ISM’s tuition fee are covered by the scholarship. The remission of fees of the ISM full scholarship refers to the normal period of bachelor studies (only six-term bachelor degree programs). An application for the full scholarship is only possible before the 1st term.
Partial scholarships for Bachelor
This kind of scholarship covers a part of the complete tuition fees at ISM. It does not contain financial support regarding accommodation, living costs, learning material, etc. Partial scholarships are always granted for two terms. For an extension of the partial scholarship please apply after one year anew.
Fee reduction: The fee reduction will be enabled for students, who cannot pay the full tuition fees due to economic and/or social conditions.
Important! The ISM scholarship and the Germany scholarship CANNOT be combined!

With exciting lectures in the areas of management fundamentals (business studies & economics), basic skills (rhetoric & project management) as well as industry-specific focal points, the course provides you with a business management basis with individual focus. For example, lectures are offered in the areas of digital business, data science, or software engineering.
