Introduction

Why To Study at The Faculty of Management

The name of Comenius University in Bratislava is world-class quality.

In 2019, the Faculty of Management, Comenius University is the only one in Slovakia to be awarded an excellent evaluation in the database Excellent Business School.

The use of managerial skills is universal. In practice, however, it is becoming increasingly desirable, given the automation and robotics in industry, as well as the expansion of shared services business centers and other international organizations in Slovakia. You can find employment in positions from company director, financial or personnel director, sales manager, through quality manager, marketing, process owner, analyst, consultant or project manager or own business manager. There are a lot of possibilities and besides studying you will find out what attracts you and which area you want to specialize and profile. The study offers the possibility of completing part of the courses or the entire study in English, which makes the graduates ready to work in an international environment. The English language is a business language and therefore we try to improve it in our students.

We work with potential employers. Several companies participate in teaching as visiting lecturers through their representatives. In cooperation with representatives of companies associated in the Business Service Center Forum (BSCF), we have also prepared a separate selective course “Skills for Success - from University to Practice”. Working with businesses, entrepreneurs and prominent personalities brings enrichment of the learning process, as well as highlighting topics that are current and used in companies today. Such interconnection helps students in their decision-making on specialization issues during their studies, as well as in their career paths. Several companies today offer student placements and positions that are widely used by our students.

Undergraduate Study (Bachelor)

The study consists of a large number of vocational subjects covering general topics of economics, economics, management, marketing, finance and law, while also focusing on modern trends in individual topics as well as the development of specific language, technical or presentation skills. Emphasis is placed on the application of individual methods and techniques, including the use of application software tools.

Graduate Study (Master)

The master's degree offers an in-depth study in core subjects, which allows to acquire comprehensive knowledge of management, even for the needs of senior management positions. Part-time study at a master's degree is suitable as a form of personal and personal development for employed or entrepreneurs with the ambition to improve or supplement their knowledge.

Admissions

The programme is open to applicants with complete secondary education.

There is no written entrance exam for the English study program. There is no need to travel for admission. The whole process will be taking place remotely.

The entrance exam for the study program taught in English (Management - Am) is oral and consists of an exam in English and a motivational interview. It will be done by videoconference call in front of the commission.

Results from high school are not taken into account in the entrance examination of foreign applicants. Slovak and Czech applicants, please see the general criteria and possibilities of accepting results from Slovak and Czech high school.

The maximum possible sum of points that can be obtained at the entrance exam is 100, while the point evaluation is the average of the point evaluations of the members of the commission, in the structure English language and motivational interview in the English language.
