Subjects
For each 8-point subject you are enrolled in, you should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, residential schools, or examinations.
If you are studying four subjects per session, this is equivalent to a full-time job. The workload for some subjects may vary as a result of the approved course design.
The course consists of nineteen (19) core subjects, one (1) restricted micro-subject and five (5) unrestricted elective subjects.

IKC101 First Nations Foundations: Knowing, relating and understanding Country is a core subject in the degree.
Students must ensure that there are no more than 12 level one eight-point subjects in their degree. The level of a subject is designated by the first digit in the subject code, eg ACC100 is a level one subject.

Compulsory Employability Skills Subject (2 points)
Contemporary Employability and Learning subject consists of a six (6) point subject and is complemented with a two (2) point employability skills subject which forms a standard 8-point subject.
Students must choose one of the following Restricted Electives:
- Building Resilience for the Workplace
- Technology for the Connected Workplace
- Project Management Essentials
- Data Analysis and Insights
Unrestricted Electives
Students must choose five (5) unrestricted electives by completing:
- A minor (four [4] subjects) in another discipline area and one (1) unrestricted elective,
- Five (5) unrestricted electives.
An unrestricted elective is any undergraduate (8-point) subject offered by Charles Sturt University provided prerequisites and enrolment restrictions have been met.
Graduation requirements
As a Charles Sturt University student, throughout your course, you have a responsibility to continue to develop skills in English language, literacy and numeracy as appropriate to your discipline. This ongoing development will enable you to effectively participate in your course and graduate prepared to enter the workforce.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.
