Introduction
The three-year course of study in Photography shapes young professionals, which will be able to work in the of commercial, artistic and documentary fields, as well as for video production.
The program guarantees the acquisition of a solid cultural base and the knowledge of techniques and visual languages, which characterize different fields: from fashion to still life, from photojournalism to video-making.
The traditional techniques, the dark room and digital photography are aligned to digital image editing and to specific graphic notions and communication. Our labs give the opportunity to students to individual and group training, putting into practice all the theoretical aspects.
During the three-year course of study, we invite students to participate into exhibitions, conferences, workshops to learn how to catch stimuli offered by the contemporary scene. Multidisciplinary approach is developed through projects which involve fashion and design departments.
We encourage students to develop their own photographic language through experimenting. This expressive liberty allows young professionals to propose themselves in the world of work not only as photographers, but also as creative operators, which are able to communicate through images and to give personalized answers to the different market requests.

Curriculum
An experimental approach
“Do not be afraid to have doubts and to be insecure, as it is often the moment of maximum tentativeness which corresponds to the moment of maximum creativity”.
- Oliviero Toscani -
This precious piece of advice by Oliviero Toscani represents the sense of our teaching method. Toscani, one of the most important fashion photographers in the world, pronounced it to our students, while visiting Accademia Italiana. We are convinced that the best ideas come out from constant research and from the desire to experiment. The wish to renew and to doubt about the results you reached is one of the keys to become a photographer.
For this reason, we think it is important not only giving solid cultural and technical foundations, but also promoting curiosity, and promoting the ability to capture stimuli surrounding us. This is the way we develop creativity and we cultivate talent.
