The department was founded in 1970. Its founder and first head until 1988 was Professor N.M. Khilkevich, a prominent specialist in the field of obstetrics and artificial insemination. Author of more than 300 scientific and methodological works, many of which are included in textbooks, cited in scientific literature, used in scientific research and the implementation of dissertations. From his scientific point of view, scientists in the field of obstetrics in Russia and many CIS countries are considered. In 1988, the department was headed by associate professor Bitsiev T.B., who defended his Ph.D. thesis in operative surgery at the Leningrad Veterinary Institute in 1982. He is the author of 30 scientific papers. From 1993 to the present, the department is headed by Professor FN Chekhodaridi, who in 1970 graduated from the Kazan Veterinary Institute named after V.I. N.E. Bauman. In 1974 he defended his Ph.D. thesis for the degree of Candidate of Veterinary Sciences. From 1974 to 1975 he worked as a junior researcher at the Kazan Veterinary Institute, and from 1975 to 1979 as a senior researcher at VNIIOK (Stavropol). From 1979 to the present, he has been teaching veterinary surgery at the Department of Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise, Surgery and Obstetrics of the Gorsk State Agrarian University. In 1999 he defended his dissertation and became a Doctor of Veterinary Science. She is the author of over 130 scientific and methodological works. He prepared one doctor of veterinary sciences and seven candidates of sciences, including 5 graduate students defended their Ph.D. theses in 5 years under his supervision.... -
