Deliver value to customers and organizations

Are you creative, self-motivated, like to work in a team, organized but flexible, and most of all are interested in how people think and act? Then USQ’s Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Marketing) may be the degree for you. Marketing encompasses the steps taken to position your product or services into the hands of potential customers. As such, it can focus the energy and resources of an organization to their best potential for maximum gain in the marketplace.

The marketing major provides you with opportunities to learn relevant marketing theories and principles in a real-world context through the use of case studies and applied activities. You will also have the opportunity in your final year to complete a professional work experience course where you’ll work with an organization to complete a project.

In addition to your chosen specialization of Marketing, you can choose to study another area in-depth with a second major, or broaden your knowledge with a combination of minors and approved courses. These can be chosen from business and commerce-related courses or why not try courses in Advertising, Public Relations or Communication and Media Studies.

Professional accreditation

The Marketing major within the Bachelor of Business and Commerce is accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and students are eligible for credit towards becoming a Certified Practicing Marketer (CPM) upon completion.

Career outcomes

As a graduate, your marketing degree will not confine you to an industry, a country, or a type of business, offering you a world of opportunities. Your career path may include an advertising coordinator, marketing and communications officer, marketing researcher, advertising manager, digital marketing coordinator, product or brand manager, distribution manager or sales manager.
