Introduction
The Faculty of Tourism at Wakayama University is committed to delivering tourism education and research in this cutting edge field, not only to explore possibilities of tourism as a “Strategic Industry” from a business point of view but to contribute to a truly sustainable and prosperous society by encouraging urban-rural interaction and the key qualities of collaboration, multiculturalism, and diversity.
Studies in three streams: Tourism Management, Regional Revitalisation, and Tourism and Culture, will stimulate and encourage both theoretical understanding and practical development. Programs offered in English, in collaboration with leading international universities, will provide learning at a global standard. The Faculty of Tourism will continue to grow. Recognizing our place in the community, we aim to foster global human resources grounded on local values that respect diversity.
