Introduction
Health information management is an integral part of today’s health care environment.
Majoring in health information management will prepare you for a future of contributing to quality patient care, managing and securing medical records, collaborating with teams of healthcare providers, and supporting the efficient operation of hospitals, businesses, and insurance companies.
Our program prepares students for the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) exam. RHIAs collect many kinds of data from a variety of sources, monitor the integrity of the information, ensure appropriate access to health records, and manage the analysis and use of data.
Kean graduates are organizing and securing critical patient information in health care facilities, insurance companies, and doctors' offices around the globe.
